A to Z 2023 – Reflections

What a month! Being the seventh year and with the theme legendary creatures from cultures and folklore and an eight line poem along, here I wrap my challenge successfully with a happy dance.

Every day was a learning exploring different country cultures and their legendary creatures. X was the toughest and had too many to pick from for the letter K. I cannot pick one favorite, for all those 26 were. Every day was a learning and I am happy that I did not miss a day!

My heart felt thanks to the blogging community for making this journey amazing. Special thanks to all those who read the posts and tagged along for the entire month. Hurray!

A to Z 2021 – Reflections

If someone brings up “April,” my mind immediately hollers ‘A to Z.’ I love ‘A to Z Challenge’ for it makes me commit to 26 days of Research and Writing. The striking slice is that it makes me write every day no matter what. I have been through days of professional and personal tiredness; 3.00 am, the bed looks beautiful, but then, I spend an hour more working on the A to Z. By the way, this was my fifth year of successful completion of the challenge. Every year I have been writing 8 line poems on the theme I select. I kept to the eight-line poems and then did a Travel around the world from A to Z.

Looking for country details, research, reading, selecting the specifics to write about, then abstract it and pen a poem, well, it was challenging than I thought. Some days got tricky because I had a lot to pick from, and then for a few days, I had to write on what I had. Letter X is always a challenge. I had days where I kept staring at my screen for an uncomfortably long time.

I have compiled my challenge into an ebook. Here goes my compilation, and with love, I close my A to Z challenge of 2021.

The ebook can be downloaded here:

A to Z 2020 Reflections

This was my fourth year of A to Z challenge and that very much is the reason why April excites me. April has been the only month since my blogging journey where I post at-least 26 posts. I am happy for what April does to me. It kind of seamlessly fits into my schedule like a must-do routine. I feel the month has that vibe and zeal to keep it going, no matter what.

I have always had 8 lines poems for the challenge with different themes over the years. I continued to do so this year too. Like every year, I must say, I loved doing this year’s challenge. My 2020 theme was Metaphors and a 8 line poem for each. Looking for metaphors was definitely a challenge. I did not restrict my domain to a specific kind of metaphors. I have used them from literature, history, songs, movies, paintings etc. On few days, I had to struggle on which one to pick and other days had to pick the only available. Some days was ease and some days I kept staring at my screen.

I did fill up the end survey and collected my winner batch. Here it goes:

I have compiled all of my challenges into a short ebook and is available for free download. Save a copy for yourself too! Yay!

A to Z Challenge 2018 – Reflections

A-to-Z Reflection [2018]

For me, A to Z challenge is a perfect way to gather related thoughts form head to toe. It not only allows a writer to widen the writing horizons but also allows one to reflect on the complete bandwidth of thoughts.

Last year was my first installation and I had pretty much enjoyed each and every day of the challenge. This year, so why, I had no reason to skip the challenge. Though until the first of April I wasn’t really sure of my theme, it did turn out way better than I had expected.

I had A to Z life emotions. For each emotion there was an eight line poem followed by an quote. All this is now available as free download-able ebook. The Ebook can be downloaded HERE.

I would like to thank the Host and the entire team of A to Z Challenge for making this happen with increasing enthusiasm, year after year.  Cheers!

May 8th is the official day to do the reflections post for the A to Z challenge and I have patiently waited for this day.

This is the first year I did A to Z Challenge and ask me not how happy I was and I am. It was A to Z of joy! My theme for the challenge was Idiom a day and an 8 line poem for it. I would like to sum up the same way in the reflections post.

Idiom: Happy Camper

Meaning: to be content or satisfied with what is happening in the life and to have no complaints

Poem:
Pick an idiom for the day,
Look out what it has to say,
Then the thoughts rhyme and mix,
Poem gets the words all fix,
Happy comments all around,
Thank you’s, wishes, gather and surround,
Isn’t it a lucky bumper,
A to Z, a happy camper.

My heartfelt thanks to all who followed my challenge posts throughout the month. Your presence, likes, comments and thoughts made this challenge more satisfying and healthy.

I have put all the challenges together in a page here: A to Z Challenge 2017

Also made an ebook putting them all together which can be downloaded here: A to Z – Poem for an Idiom
