No, Thank You.

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “No, Thank You.”

If you could permanently ban a word from general usage, which one would it be? Why?

Ban the SMS lingo / slang elsewhere. I know I am not asking for one, but a whole set, but its definitely worth it. It’s okay for personal chats, but sure not for general usage.

An Honest Lie

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Truth or Dare.”
Is it possible to be too honest, or is honesty always the best policy?

Honesty always comes with varying flavors of those kinds which may take a while to realize. Or at its best we may never realize. We may never realize that,

  • With Honesty, we have said the truth which was also accompanied with few little lies, those lies which made the truth look clear.
  • With Honesty, we have performed the duty today, only to spare the time for something else which we have loved to do.
  • With Honesty, we have accepted all that we did only to keep ourselves happy then, if not now.
  • With Honesty, we have a plan only to cover up the unplanned so far with the deadlines approaching.
  • With Honesty, we have alarmed a praise only to get similar in return.
  • With Honesty, we have read literature’s on being honest, only to fit them at right places if not all.

Was it all pretending Honesty, by being a little Dishonest? Or was it an Honest Lie?

I think. I still think. And its on!

The Mlanet

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Interplanet Janet.”

You get to design your own planet: tell us all about your planet — the weather, the seasons, the inhabitants. Go. – Interplanet Janet

I would like to be a minion and my planet being called as “Mlanet – The Minion Planet”. We all speak the minion language.

Bello! Tulaliloo ti amo! […You can refer to Minion Language HERE. …]

Mlanet weather is fun weather where all the minions work and have fun while work. Work is enjoyed here because there is no pressure or pain. Everyone loves what they do. Essentially whole planet is Gru’s lab!
Kan pai. Poopaye!

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Ha Ha Ha.”

Tell us a joke! Knock-knock joke, long story with an unexpected punchline, great zinger — all jokes are welcome!

    “Who is at the door?”
    “Who is it?”
    “Me, Who?”
“Me, Him”
    “Him, Who?”
“Who me!”
    “Me, Who?”
“Who am I?”
    “How do I know?”
“Then why do you ask?”
    “Who are you?”
“Who are you?”
“Open the door, Its the milkman!”

One Love

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “I Want to Know What Love Is.”

We each have many types of love relationships — parents, children, spouses, friends. And they’re not always with people; you may love an animal, or a place. Is there a single idea or definition that runs through all the varieties of “love”?

One definition of Love –

” ~*~ That one special feeling and you don’t know why! ~*~”

The Do All Dream

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Just a Dream.”

You’re having a nightmare, and have to choose between three doors. Pick one, and tell us about what you find on the other side.

Am pretty sure. It was not a dream. I could see three doors in front of me. The three doors had the labels,

  • Do Anything
  • Do Everything
  • Do Nothing

It was clear instinct that I had to pick one.  I was lazy and I decided to pick the door where I get to do nothing. I opened the door and stepped in. I was surprised to see,
doors2Beyond that door were two more doors again. This time I decided to pick everything door. And,
doors3It was kind of expected. I thought the fate was to always end up with anything door. I was curious to know what was inside. As I opened the door,

oops! I saw the three doors again! I was confused and mind moved into recursive thinking. What is the message? No message? Then I realized,

“No matter what we pick; nothing, everything or anything, there is always a next door. Cheer up!”.

Till today I have the question. Was it a dream? Why? When it is so much of reality!

Three Perfect Shots – Holi

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Three Perfect Shots.”

Take a subject you’re familiar with and imagine it as three photos in a sequence. Tackle the subject by describing those three shots.

Given the prompt, the first thing that came in my mind was Holi celebrations. Holi, in India,  is a spring festival also known as the festival of colors or the festival of love. Best part being i had three perfect Holi celebrations so far and its still very colorful right in front of my eyes.

Perfect Number One

Location: Bangalore
Year: 2009
The celebration was with my M. Tech friends. There could have not been a better day! The moments are still so lively and fresh in mind and heart.

Perfect Number Two

Location: Pune
Year: 2010
The celebration was during internship period at Pune. There was rain dance and DJ, the whole day. This is the best one of life time!

Perfect Number Three

Location: Hubli
Year: 2014
The celebration was with colleagues, fellow professors. Though the celebrations in between 2010-2014 were good, this was the last one we had as a group. We all moved to different cities in few weeks. This one is special. Very special.

Sliced Bread Demands An Answer

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Sliced Bread.”

Most of us have heard the saying, “That’s the best thing since sliced bread!” What do you think is actually the best thing since sliced bread?

As I see and understand, the best thing since the slice bread is the ability to question “What do you think is actually the best thing since sliced bread?”. I know I have not made my deliberation clear yet, well, here it goes:
What did the seven wonders of the world give us? The ability to recognize, appreciate and refer to the eighth wonder in our daily lives. Technically, there is no one but many eighth wonder all around the world. We all have one.

Now similarly, since the slice bread, the best thing is the ability to ask the question, “What is the best thing since sliced bread?” Naturally, each one of us have an answer of our own. What is my answer? The question itself!

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Play Lexicographer.”

Create a new word and explain its meaning and etymology.

Word: Latechzy

Meaning: The laziness induced by the technology.

Etymology: If observed carefully the word is formed by introducing the word “tech” right in-between the word “lazy”. It signifies the laziness introduced by the technology innovations. The good or bad of it is always debatable. With technology in hand, we are increasing our tendency to behave like machines. Yes, it the undefinable laziness which is just right there! wink!
