Kafka on the Shore – Book Review

kafka

Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami, Philip Gabriel (Translator).

Wild!
Brilliant, Splendid, Glorious and every other word that describes the category. Wow! Just wow! All I question is, “How could some one put up something so beautiful?”

I ended up with a lot of questions. A lot to seek. A lot more than just a riddle. But that’s the beauty of it. I was taken away to the different world – I just sit and think, but mostly blank.

I guess this book surpasses every other book I have read so far and may never find an alternate equivalent!

  1. I have read Norwegian wood by Murakami and it was impressive indeed. Waiting for your review on that one while I add this one to my reading list. Merry Xmas and a happy new year !!

  2. “Norwegian wood” was the first book by Haruki Murakami that I read. After that I started reading his other books: among them “Kafka on the shore” remains one my favorites. The story it is a bit complex, with lots of symbolism, and it took me a couple of reads to actually puzzle out what was going out. I would absolutely recommended it to any Murakami’s fan.
