The Messy, Who?

from the clipart libraries

Litter is my mind,
Cluttered are the deadlines,
They just get on with time,
Messy, Who?

I mistake at times,
Ignore knowingly,
It just too much!
Messy, Who?

Shabby is fine,
Shower can wait,
Untidiness is pretty,
Messy, Who?

I darling the disarray,
Hate too much perfection,
I smile and agree,
Messy, Me.

  1. HAHAHA!! What a funny poem Prakash!! I can relate. Some days are just PJ days with no cleaning. Trouble is the next day I am busy cleaning…
I guess I’m too used to being un-messy! (Is that even a word?)

  2. This is very clever–and I must say that “perfectionism” is Not our friend! A little messiness is healthy!! πŸ™‚ (Having said that though, I really should vacuum and dust my apartment…I don’t like housecleaning, would rather write πŸ™‚ )

  3. I may have shared this with you before, but as I ran across it again, I offer it to you now:

“Those proud of keeping an orderly desk never know the thrill of finding something they thought they had irretrievably lost.”

    Love that line!

Very clever piece. I especially appreciate the deliberate grammatical error in the second stanza. Can’t not have any typos and be messy at the same time! πŸ˜‰
