Its April of 2017 and Day 26 of A to Z Challenge. I am doing Idiom a day and 8 line poem for the idiom.

Idiom: Zip It

Meaning: used to tell someone to be quiet

Poem:
Is it kind?
Will it bring smiles?
Is it necessary?
Will it cheer up?
Is it right?
Will it put peace?
If not,
Zip it please.

  1. Funny how people have no compunctions about passing cutting remarks but zip up when it comes to praising or offering a word of encouragement. Congratulations on completing the challenge and with such wit, wisdom and brilliance.

  2. Positivity is the way to go, and once you screw your head on with a positive attitude, people respond to it, you respond to it, life has a much better feel about it. Sure, there are bleak moments, but positivity helps you see the humor of it, sustains you till you step out of the depths. That said, loved your poem!

  3. I used to be the one, who would think a lot before speaking. Like in a meeting, thinking of better points, probable response, better comebacks, when is the break time, what I have to eat, what I want to eat, how long will this meeting go, does this meeting even add any value, oh it looks like bingo mad angle advertisement.. Lol, others aren’t laughing I too must nod and seem serious. But then I realised over analysis kills creativity and spontaneity and now I let it go and shoot to become more vocal and visible.
    Great post btw!!

  4. Just the contrary of what I have been through lately. But I do feel sometimes it becomes imperative to take someone up on that. But anyway, great msg. Worth following. 👍
