I recently got to know about National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) through Purba’s blog post. NaNoWriMo challenges participants to write 50,000 words (their minimum number of words for a novel) from November 1 until the deadline at 11:59PM on November 30. I know 50,000 is a huge number! Like a impossible huge with other workloads!
November is the month where I already have lot of research and personal commitments. Though I kept thinking initially of not to, I felt it’s worthy to give a try when many around the globe would be writing at the same time. It’s once in an year opportunity!
I don’t have a plot yet. I only have an empty document with the title named to it. Only yesterday I decided to write a love story with the title “i 4 you” – the many 4’s. Even if not complete, I am sure it is going to turn into something to be happy about. NaNoWriMo site has a motivational dashboard to keep the things up and going. So why wait till next year? Here is my cover page design:
If you think you can give a try, hop in! You can check the site for more details. You can add me as a writing buddy there if you decide to join or already there. I am sure it is going to be a lot of writing disease. My id is: prakash_hegade.
Well, I am excited for November 01!
Yes, it is an experience. I was a winner in 2014. I’d planned on it this year. I even have it outlined. But my wife has been every ill since March with two heart attacks. I simply can’t stay on topic long enough to hammer out 1700 words everyday for a month. Keep us posted.

As you work toward that 50,000 word goal keep in mind that this NaNoWriMo draft is not in stone. If you bog jump ahead and keep going. In December you can return a fix all the problems. Press on.

I exactly thought the same to myself. I generally keep all posts within 200 words. Well, most of it. Thank you so much.. 🙂

Last year in November, I heard it for the first time. Following some blogs, I came to know that most of the bloggers succeeded in achieving their goals. Actually, the very idea of getting in touch with writers around the world seems so appealing.
How many words are you planning to write in a day?

True. I really felt it motivating with lots of other writers writing along.
I have no plans made per day. Hoping some weekends and free weekdays time will be of help!

I remember reading a post in which someone re blog a story of a blogger who was very successful in achieving her goal in NaNoWriMo. There was a secret behind her success,
she didn’t type but took help from voice to text conversion method 🙂
You’re sure to learn a lot in this process.
All the best 🙂

oh cool! 🙂 (I am guessing that would later require a lot of editing)
I am hoping so. I will try to finish as much as I can, which I can release later as free ebook with minimum editing efforts 🙂
Thank you so much.. 🙂

True, and for that kind of voice to text writing lot of prior work is required.
Best of Luck with your plans and do share your experience with us 🙂
