Here goes my prompt:

The hatch-lings in the nest were pretty grown up and ready to fly. They asked their mother,
“Mother, do you have any advice?”

 The mother said with care,
“You will be confused at times. Should you sound? Should you echo? And it’s all because of your thoughts. They do what you don’t ask for.”

The little ones were confused. They said,
“Mother, We knew it. That we don’t know!”

Mother explained,
“My dear ones. Things are learnt while you explore.  I need not answer all your questions (mother laughed and laughed again).  My only advice is to be careful about the big birds. Run home or hide when you see so. But remember, I am always behind your back to protect you. Fear not!”

The little ones were now comfortable. They were also ready to do their first fly.

At times, we pretend to think on one and actually think everything else! The story is simple. The first ones are always special and if it involves our loved one, it’s always in our heart.

The Real and Fiction

This Post is written for the Incredible Blogger Marathon Challenge. The challenge has 10 tasks and this is the fourth one.

IBMC #04: Hunt a Haiku Challenge is a challenge where we are supposed a pick one haiku out of given and provide an interpretation to it. (Check the link for more)

4

Here goes my prompt:

Haiku I picked:

sweet was the damage,
brutal was the bighearted,
when foul was the world.

Interpretation:
A lot of things happen in an imaginative world. That’s why we have fiction. It’s in this fictional world a damage is sweet. In real, though at outset one might say that the damage is over come, there is this little ‘towards-attachment’ always prevailing in the heart. There are big heart ones who easily mercy the damage and give a second chance. The sweetness comes from that mercy.

In the real world this is how it looks:
Broken heart,

Wet eyes,
Shivering mind,
Oh mankind!
Why so cruel?
Don’t I have free will?

No matter what, one has to move on:
Broken heart, glue it;
Wet eyes, dust it;
Shivering mind, Freeze it;
Oh mankind!
Be kind!
My free will,
I shall stay happy!

The red forest had black and white trees. While the magician had rabbits and crows. It was noticed that the square wheels were on fire. While it rained dogs and cats, she was angry because she was not invited for the parliament elections.  But the company was running only on the wireless telephone calls. He had seen a ghost, they say. He had agreed to everything she had said while they were dancing in a party. Still, there were elephants flying. There was no risk in eating the ice cream on the electric mains. However, I must say, a very happy new year.

goa

It was October 2012. We wanted to wake up early to be there, up top on the hills to see the sunrise midst the waters. We slept so late that none of us could open eyes early morning. However we managed to reach the place around 09.00 am. Once we reached, It was ten friends, gazing into waters, long chat and certainly a priceless experience. The place was Goa, India. The memories of the day are still so fresh!

It was not the clock. It was not the timer. Everything around Adit was tranquil and serene. But Adit was in anxiety and rush.  He could see the ducks quacking in buzz tone and happily flying around the pond. He could listen to the chirps from the tree in close proximity. It was a gauzy weather just perfect to gaze at nature and splurge rest of the evening. But Adit had this ‘tick tock tick tock’ going on in his heart. He could see her coming at far distance and he was all ready to propose her!

Following are the mentioned topics:

  1. Writing About the Rights
  2. The Cool and the Fool
  3. I am and so I am
  4. Mark of the Destiny
  5. Shoulder of Support
  6. My Way, My Stay
  7. When I See You
  8. Tick Tock Tick Tock
  9. Fly High
  10. The Perfect Match

False Favorites

favorite

I wasn’t very sure until lately that a category called ‘false favorites’ would exist. Now I feel that may be its necessary to define one such cluster and push all the relevant things. Those relevant things which have now become irrelevant which no more excite, even in little possible way. There is nothing wrong in having a false favorite. They are the ones where ‘that thing’ was so much favorite to you and suddenly a small incident or just nothing has changed that most wanted to most unwanted. You just don’t want to see that or be with it anymore.

I am not talking about the song which was your favorite, which got looped infinitely in your player and now bored of it. Because of the reason that after a certain gap of time, you would still prefer to listen to that song. It is rather something else. Let me rest my case.

I always hated my school life and preferred my pre-university life. My school life was hectic and full of responsibilities. At home as well as at school. It was a lot of interaction. Being part of business at home to taking responsibilities and doing works at school made me only tired. School was an irritation.  When I stepped to my college life, I was mostly alone and definitely liked it. Less responsibilities and made very few friends. I was happy studying at my own will and had the happiest two years. Least bothered about what I eat and what I do and rather only cared of what I read and what I learn.

Now, after like 10+ years, when I look back, I so much hate my college life. School life has so many memories to cherish. Though I was always the most teased one at school, it is all happiness now. When I look back I don’t have any of my college memories that are significant apart from the good results I secured. I am glad my engineering life was so much better. In the case, my 2 years of pre-university life is my false-favorite. Though it was good then, it is something I don’t want to look back now.

Do you have any such false favorite?
