  1. I remember having a conversation on the phone many many many years ago with my 1st husband who was divorcing me. I was pleading with him to reconsider because I DID love him & I wanted to make things work. His response was earth shattering silence! I had not thought of that phone call for so many years & your poem brought it back like it was yesterday!
You are a powerful poet Prakash. Thank you for sharing your words with us…

      • It is all right that it was not a ‘pleasant’ memory Prakash. Your poetry has the ability to remind me of so many forgotten memories; some good & some not so good. But as you say, some of those memories sit with us for a lifetime. And this memory reminds me of how much I have changed & become a much nicer person.
Keep on writing! I shall keep on reading 😉

  2. Thank you for the kind words. When I was much younger I was quite selfish. I did not realize that what I did or said could be hurtful. I had to learn a lot of hard lessons. Thankfully I finally caught on & began to work on myself in my early 30’s. I am still a ‘work in progress’, but I am much improved 😉
I adore your poetry & will continue to read! You really inspire me with your writing.

  3. That is the key Prakash: Going forward. many people tend to stay ‘stuck’ emotionally or physically or both. Or if they are using alcohol or other drugs, they just stop growing mentally & emotionally. That is always sad to watch…
I am so glad I keep pushing myself forward…..that is part of the joy of being alive I believe.
