This story is written for Mondays Finish the Story: August 31, 2015. The task is to write the story in 100 to 150 for the provided image and starting line.

The cemetery spread along the area known as Devils Abode. The name was legacy. Every city in the state had a devils adobe.  There was a belief that when the devils adobe of all the cities merge together, the world would end.

There was no sign of merging noticed past thousand years. The inhabitants of the city had a perception that maybe that’s why it was prefixed with devil, which they would never merge.

However what they failed to realize was the growth of city by deforestation, environmental pollution, ageing factors and changing life style was the actual devil out there!

  8. Man is his own worst enemy. He’s destroying his natural habitat. It’s an important issue and it is excellent that you have highlighted it here.
    I like the use of word”adobe” here. Good take on prompt 🙂

  9. The idea of the Devil’s abodes of all the cities merging together and signalling the end of the world, seemed particularly interesting to me. 🙂
