The Haunted Hills

Short story “The Haunted Hills” is written for the Mondays Finish the Story Challenge – May 25, 2015. The task is, given the image and starting line, to complete the story in 100 to 150 words.

The only residents remaining in the small town of Miners Hill are spirits. A crew had come to make a horror movie and it looks like the shooting is going on forever. There is no signs of movie release nor the crew. It is said that people who arrive to town, become part and prey for the movie. The town is known to be haunted. The stories of hopes are still told that people are not dead and the movie is going to be released one day. The movie crew and missing people are all going to come out one fine day. The lights and loud music through town is still heard now and then. No one dares to enter the town today.

Some say, the director of the movie is still looking for new roles. Look at the mountains, if you see the director waving hands at you, you might have a role awaited and can visit the town! Dare??
